Michael Leunig is known as a cartoonist, poet, philosopher, and artist. His commentary on political, cultural and emotional life spans thirty-five years and has often explored the idea of an innocent and sacred personal world.
In 2000 Michael Leunig was declared a National Living Treasure by the National Trust.
